St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn is scheduled to undergo another MRI on his troublesome left knee on Monday. It's the second exam in two months for Winn, 23, who was scratched from Sunday's lineup at Tampa Bay.

Winn's MRI actually showed improvement, and the shortstop is back in the Cardinals' lineup on Monday as the team starts a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

"SS Masyn Winn (knee pain) is out of the lineup for the Cardinals today when they face the Rays," Denton said. "Winn got an injection in the knee over the All-Star break and has been playing in pain for weeks."
