Revellers, dancers and musicians filled the streets of west London on Monday for the annual Notting Hill carnival, one of the world's largest street parties that, despite its cultural prominence, has struggled with funding challenges.

Revellers are parading in colorful costumes through the streets of Notting Hill, in west London, for the annual carnival which started in 1966 and is one of the largest festival celebrations of its kind in Europe

The main parade is followed by a day of live music filling the streets The party atmosphere took hold of west London again as the second day of the Notting Hill Carnival saw the main parade take place.
