The New Republic on MSNJD Vance’s Summer Vacation Is About to Be Hit With Major Protests
Vance and his family have a trip scheduled for the Cotswolds, a countryside region in Southwest England often frequented by the rich and famous (Ellen DeGeneres currently resides there). They’re expected to be met with a wide variety of demonstrators—anti-Trump, pro-Palestinian, trade union members, and environmentalists.
On Thursday’s (July 17) edition of MSNBC’s The Last Word, O’Donnell touched on a recent Wall Street Journal report that alleged that, in 2003, Trump sent Epstein a letter for his 50th birthday that included the line, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” in addition to an imagined conversation between the pair.
Vance took to X on Thursday to grouse about the Wall Street Journal ’s reporting on an alleged letter from Trump to the infamous pedophile that was reportedly part of a birthday album for Epstein’s 50th birthday. The greeting is alleged to have included a sexually suggestive drawing and a reference to “secrets” both men shared.
Donald Trump is suing Rupert Murdoch and the publishers of the Wall Street Journal over a report alleging he sent Jeffrey Epstein a lewd birthday card. The lawsuit, filed in Miami on Friday, names Dow Jones, News Corp, two Journal reporters, and Murdoch himself, accusing them of libel and slander over the article published this week.
Trump has since attempted to distance himself, instructing his own supporters to stop talking about the convicted sex offender. In a Truth Social post last week, Trump lashed out at his own base, claiming that he no longer wants the support of those invested in what he called a “Hoax.”
