Muslims worldwide are preparing for a sacred monthlong observance of spirituality and reflection during Ramadan.

The timing of Ramadan coincides with the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and ends with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. This year, Ramadan is expected to begin at the end of February, but the exact timing depends on the sight of the moon.

Ramadan 2025 has been predicted to go from March 1, according to astronomical calculations. This is subject to approval by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
