While Juan Soto may be the highest paid player on the team, statistics show that Francisco Lindor has been the Mets' most valuable player this season.

With Francisco Lindor shifting into the Mets' No. 2 spot, the Mets look lineup sprung to life in a 6-3 victory over the Brewers on Wednesday night.

Lindor was the only Met announced as a starter. Freddie Freeman beat out Pete Alonso at first base (61 percent to 39), and Juan Soto finished fifth among outfielders. Ronald Acuña Jr., former Mets prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong and Kyle Tucker will start in the outfield for the National League.
