Carolina Panthers fans, understandably, love Chuba Hubbard. He was a late-round draft pick backup to Christian McCaffrey and then Miles Sanders, eventually forcing Carolina not only to start him but to extend him for a well-deserved $33.2 million. But after that extension, things haven't been great, at least compared to how he played before.

Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard was a non-participant in Thursday's practice. He's now been listed as a DNP for five straight sessions.

The Panthers have ruled four of their players out, with another four that are questionable. The highlights that everyone wants to know for rooting and fantasy purposes are each team's best offensive playmakers. For the Cowboys, that's wideout CeeDee Lamb and for Carolina that's running back Chuba Hubbard.

The perennial MVP candidate suffered a hamstring injury in the second half of the team’s Week 4 loss to the Chiefs. He is considered week-to-week and could miss multiple games. The Ravens are on bye in Week 7. A Week 8 return is possible. As of Wednesday, he faces an “ uphill battle ” to play in Week 6.

Many fantasy football managers continue to fade the top options at running back in the early rounds, instead opting to deploy strategies including Zero-RB, where you punt the position for at least four rounds or through the top 20 or so options at average draft position (ADP).
