Aston Villa have been joined by a Premier League rival in the race to sign Jaydee Canvot. The 19-year-old defender has been a target for Villa throughout the summer, and they saw a bid turned down by Toulouse earlier this month. Toulouse are holding out for a fee of around £17 million to part with Canvot, who can play at centre-back or in midfield.
