Harrisburg International Airport's PA system was compromised by an unauthorized user who played a recorded political message before the system was shut down for investigation.
Videos showed unauthorized recordings echoing through Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania and Kelowna International Airport in Canada.
The airport provided the following statement to local news media outlets:
“The Wayne County Airport Authority has requested the TSA stop playing the video from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem addressing federal funding. WCAA does not operate the checkpoint monitors, which are located in TSA-leased space. The TSA did not seek approval to play the message,” a statement from DTW reads.
