As part of a strategic shift away from exclusivity, Microsoft is bringing Halo to Sony’s competing console for the first time.

Matt Booty, the president of Xbox game content and studios, discussed the gaming division’s multiplatform strategy in an interview with The New York Times, published to coincide with news that Xbox’s historical flagship franchise, Halo, is coming to PlayStation for the first time.

As indicated by the higher-than-usual price, it’s a “With Light and Sound” ornament. The power button on the console glows green when you press it. It then emits the familiar Xbox 360 startup sound, followed by about 20 seconds of “Behold a Pale Horse,” a song from the Halo 3 soundtrack. You can watch a video of it on the Amazon listing page.
