A winter storm warning was in effect Friday across much of northern Wisconsin, with possible record-breaking snowfall coming this weekend.

Weather officials forecast a possible record-breaking winter storm for northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula this weekend, March 14-15.

The latest forecast shows Milwaukee will likely miss the worst of a winter storm expected this weekend across much of Wisconsin, though the area will still see a mix of snow, rain and wind.

A winter storm watch has been issued for the southern half of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, and parts of Wisconsin this weekend.

The weather will be quintessential New England March with some scattered showers, sunshine, chilly conditions, and even some snow in northern Massachusetts.
