A soccer pitch in London collapsed and parts of the United Kingdom are submerged by flash floods after some areas saw a month’s worth of rainfall in 24 hours

Heavy rain and flash flooding has battered parts of England and Wales, causing widespread travel disruption and damage to properties. Roads and houses have flooded in central and southern England, after some experienced a month's worth of rain in a matter of hours.

HEAVY rain is expected to pour throughout the day in Basingstoke, with the Met Office warning of the potential for flooding. As previously reported, an amber weather warning has been issued by the Met Office until 11.
