The Nintendo 64's trident-shaped controller went from being strange and unwieldy to retro-cool. If you want to use one with a PC, it's surprisingly easy.

The GameCube's controller remains a titan, which is why so many have “borrowed” from its design. But now things are afoot that signal Nintendo could be about to resurrect this gaming gem.

The controller features all of the N64's inputs--joystick, C-buttons, an authentic D-pad, A/B buttons, R/L/Z triggers--in a similar layout but with a modernized form factor.

The Nintendo GameCube controller can only be used on Nintendo Switch 2 and is not compatible with ... as well as a 'ZL' button at the top presumably to act as a bumper opposite the 'Z' button.
