MD Helicopters has secured a potential $1.39 billion foreign military sales contract from the U.S. Army to produce approximately 150 MD 530F helicopters for Afghanistan.

The order by an unnamed Middle Eastern buyer covers six Cayuse Warrior Plus armed scout helicopters, plus glass cockpit upgrades for six Armed MD 530F light utility models.
