An FBI raid on Virginia-based Carahsoft as partner software firm SAP comes under investigation for potential price fixing.

Federal agents on Tuesday searched the Washington-area offices of Carahsoft Technology Corp., a major distributor of information technology products to government agencies, according to people familiar with the matter.

John Weiler, head of the nonprofit Information Technology Acquisition Advisory Council (IT-AAC), told The Register the FBI and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) had agents on-site at the business's Sunset Hills Road headquarters in Reston, Virginia.

It wasn’t immediately clear what prompted the search.

We can confirm that the FBI conducted court-authorized law enforcement activity on Sunset Hills Road this morning. We decline to comment further,” an FBI spokesperson said in a statement. Carahsoft is a privately held provider of IT services and software to the public sector.
