Corey Melaney’s role is changing. After 17 seasons, Melaney told the Standard-Examiner on Thursday that he’ll step aside as the school’s boys basketball coach while retaining his title as Fremont’s full-time athletic director.

Nebraska football is set to hire Miami (Ohio) defensive line coach Corey Brown for the same position. This was reported by multiple media outlets on Sunday. Brown began his coaching career in 2006 at North Iowa Area Community College and worked his way up.
