Yes, Walmart, like rival Costco, will be open on Columbus Day, which happens to be on Monday, Oct. 13 this year. Its stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. as usual so you can snag deals on everything from holiday decorations to home furniture and groceries.

Columbus Day doesn’t mean business operations across the country stop. Most stores and restaurants remain open, though schools and government offices are typically closed.
