Turning Point has released a statement, a day after political activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead during a campus event.

Kirk had previously held events at UCF, with the most recent one in 2023, and had also spoken at other Florida universities this year.

LeMaster said he has seen Charlie Kirk in person at some rallies he attended and the ultimate goal was to bring him here to speak on Miami University’s campus. He said that Kirk’s legacy will live on and his new Turning Point USA chapter will overcome this tragedy and continue to thrive at Miami.
