Freezing rain and snow was forecasted to move into the southern U.S. Wednesday, setting up days of bad weather from Texas to the U.S. East Coast.

Areas from Texas to the Carolinas will experience their first major winter storm in years from Thursday into the weekend — with snow stretching as far north as New England, and into areas pummeled by storm earlier this week.
