Severe thunderstorms sweep through North Texas Saturday morning, NWS issues advisory
Severe thunderstorms and showers are expected to move through the Dallas-Fort Worth area Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service. NWS issued a severe thunderstorm watch advisory for all of North Texas that will stay in place until 12 p.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for much of North Texas until noon. The area that will see the most rain and storms will be to the south and east of the Metroplex. Ther will be a hail risk and added wind risk to the southeast. The strongest storms with the higher potential for severe storms will be east and southeast Texas.

While all Metroplex counties have been dropped from the Severe Thunderstorm Watch, far southern and eastern counties remain until noon. Rain and storms will continue to end from west to east as into the early afternoon.
North Texas dries up Saturday afternoon after an active weather morning
Severe Thunderstorm Watch for North Texas has expired as of noon, and the First Alert Weather Day has ended. Temperatures will warm into the mid/upper 60s Saturday with breaks in the clouds this afternoon.
