RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — President Trump arrived Tuesday for the first leg of his Middle East tour in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, where he was welcomed with a pomp-and-circumstance-filled ceremony and a high-powered lunch with top business leaders and government figures before giving a speech at an investment forum.

U.S. President Donald Trump touched down in Saudi Arabia on the first stop of four day visit to the region, the first major overseas trip of his second term, with a focus on securing big investments in the United States.

American tech and finance CEOs, including Elon Musk, are also expected to be in Saudi Arabia for a government-hosted conference Trump is scheduled to attend as part of his visit.
