Lewis worked this offseason with Dr. Jennifer Reiner-Marcello, a reconditioning and performance therapist who formerly worked for the Twins. When he arrived at spring training, he said he was feeling loose, fast, elusive, athletic and bouncy — all the things he wanted to feel.

Twins third baseman Royce Lewis will miss Opening Day because of a "moderate" strain of his left hamstring, the club announced on Monday. Lewis suffered the injury on Sunday and then underwent diagnostic imaging on Monday.
