Commissioner Rob Manfred announced Tuesday that Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson and other players permanently banned by the sport would have their statuses restored at death.
Cincinnati Reds prospect Luis Morellis was named Arizona Complex League Pitcher of the Week. The 21-year-old went 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA with five strikeouts over eight innings in two appearances for the ACL Reds. The Reds signed Morellis out of Venezuela to a minor league contract back in July of 2022.
