Dinosaurs are ruling the box office heading into the Fourth of July holiday weekend. “Jurassic World Rebirth” topped ticket sales on Thursday, its second full day of release, earning a commanding $25.

While not as strong as its predecessors, Universal/Amblin’s “Jurassic World: Rebirth” is on its way to a very good start over the July 4 weekend at the box office. After earning $30 million on its opening day, the film added $25.3 million from 4,063 locations on Thursday to bring its total to $55.3 million heading into the weekend proper.

The seventh installment in the iconic dinosaur franchise is launching midweek in North America to take advantage of the long July Fourth holiday weekend, 'F1: The Movie' zooms past $200 million globally.
