Weekend storm update: Isolated tornado added to part of Michigan forecast, heavy rain too
Here's an overall rundown of the storm system that will come together right over the top of Michigan tonight into Sunday.
A strong cold front is approaching Indiana. We'll go from 80s on Saturday down to 50s by Sunday. As it swings through, expect weekend rain and storms at times.

The National Hurricane Center thinks a new tropical storm is likely to form in the Caribbean Sea this week. If it does, it will get the name Melissa. Systems in the Caribbean are always worth watching for those in the U.S., but it’s still too soon to say if this storm will or won’t affect the Gulf or U.S. East Coast.
In Orange and San Bernardino counties, a flash flood watch will continue through Tuesday afternoon for the Bridge, Line, Apple, El Dorado and Airport burn scars. Hillsides stripped of vegetation by wildfires can make soil repel water, which can lead to increased runoff and flooding.
Sunday afternoon storms are slowly moving towards the east from the I-10 and I-75 corridor. Storms are expected for Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida through sunset. Though rain accumulation is expected to be less than a quarter of an inch, it will still be disruptive to outdoor evening plans.
