One person is dead in a shooting in south Minneapolis that left multiple others injured Tuesday afternoon. Police are investigating at the scene at Clinton Avenue and East 29th Street, just east of Interstate 35.

One man is dead and six other people were injured following a brazen midday shooting in south Minneapolis across the street from a high school near a busy commercial corridor. Police Chief Brian O’Hara said at a Tuesday afternoon news briefing that the victims shot were standing in a group on the sidewalk across the street from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in the 2900 block of 4th Ave.

Minneapolis police were dispatched to the area of 29th and Clinton at about 1:30 p.m. on reports of gunfire.
