“The Daily Show” joined the likes of OAN in caving to Hegseth’s demands ― but in the name of mockery. “After serious consideration, The Daily Show has agreed to the Pentagon’s new demands regarding press access,” the program wrote Wednesday on X, formerly Twitter.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell announced on social media that on the way back to the U.S. from NATO’s Defense Ministers meeting, Hegseth’s "plane made an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom due to a crack in the aircraft windshield."
