Lenny Randle was one of the Rangers' best players immediately following their move from Washington, leaving quite the mark during his 12-year MLB career.

Pitcher Milt Wilcox had thrown behind Randle, who decided to improvise his retaliation. The bunt was a beauty, Wilcox fielded it, and Randle, then playing for the Texas Rangers, veered off the base paths to body-check him into oblivion.

Randle, along with being known as a member of the first Texas Ranger squad in 1972, was well known for his multiple skirmishes as a Ranger. In 1974 during a game against Cleveland, Randle was hit by a pitch thrown by Cleveland’s Matt Wilcox.
