Smoke from two wildfires burning in northeastern Minnesota is being picked up by radar and satellite imagery. Satellite imagery from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) on Monday afternoon showed plumes of smoke from the Camp House Fire and Jenkins Creek Fire.

A second wildfire in northeastern Minnesota exploded on Monday, and it's not far from the Camp House fire that has torched at least 750 acres and destroyed multiple cabins near the town of Brimson. The Jenkins Creek Fire, located approximately 14 miles southeast of Hoyt Lakes, started around 11 a.m., according to authorities.

Crews in northeastern Minnesota are battling at least three wildfires on Monday, two of which have grown to hundreds of acres in size. Gov. Tim Walz has activated the National Guard to help efforts in stopping one of the fires.
