Yet, there’s an area behind Lorenzo that recently moved off the Coast of Africa that bears watching. Some forecast models have this tropical wave drifting west across the tropical Atlantic with not much development. Then, as it moves into the Caribbean Sea, some forecast models have it thriving & possibly developing into a tropical cyclone.

Forecasters say Tropical Storm Lorenzo has gotten slightly stronger in the central tropical Atlantic Ocean but still is not threatening land.

Lorenzo, the 12th named storm of the season, will stay in the Atlantic and not threaten land. The Caribbean is expected to heat up later this month.
