Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah completed 400 wickets in international cricket during the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, becoming the 10th Indian to achieve this feat. His outstanding performance included 4/50 in 11 overs during Bangladesh's first innings.

Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets to become only the tenth Indian bowler to take 400 international wickets as Bangladesh's first innings collapsed to 149 on Day 2 in Chennai. Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep also made an impact to give India a 227-run lead in the first innings.

Jasprit Bumrah's artistry seemed incomprehensible for an out of sorts Bangladesh batting line-up as India took complete control of the opening Test with an overall lead of 308 runs.
