This started with the announcement in July that Benedict (Luke Thompson) will be the Bridgerton sibling starring in Season 4. Each season follows a different sibling's love story. Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) was the Season 1 focus, followed by Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) in Season 2, and, most recently, Colin (Luke Newton) in Season 3.

The season will be based on the third novel in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series, An Offer From a Gentleman. In the book, the character is named Sophie Beckett but she has been renamed Sophie Baek in the series to pay homage to Yerin’s Korean roots.
