Students on the University of South Carolina's Columbia campus experienced an active shooter scare on Sunday evening, but no threat was found and no shooting took place.

A report of an active shooter at USC’s Thomas Cooper Library prompted evacuations before officials gave the all-clear.

The University of South Carolina has given the all-clear after issuing an alert about a possible active shooter near a library on the main Columbia campus
