Cleveland released QB Tyler Huntley on Sunday, leaving the team with four signal-callers — Week 1 starter Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders — on its 53-man roster. Huntley, who signed earlier this month amid injuries, was the only former Pro Bowl QB on the roster.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns have gotten a jump on Tuesday’s roster cutdown to 53 by parting ways with 21 players on Sunday. They terminated the contracts of four of them, and waived 17 others, reducing the roster from the maximum of 90 to 69.

Huntley signed with the Browns at the start of preseason following Kenny Pickett's hamstring injury to ensure Cleveland had enough quarterback options. Huntley, 27, spent last training camp with Cleveland before failing to make the 53-man roster.
