Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman said the central bank should lower interest rates at a “measured” pace, arguing that inflationary risks remain and that the labor market has not shown significant weakening.

U.S. Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman said on Tuesday key measures of inflation remain "uncomfortably above" the Fed's 2% target, warranting caution as the Fed proceeds with cutting interest rates.

While it has not been my baseline outlook, I cannot rule out the risks that progress on inflation could continue to stall,” Fed Gov. Michelle Bowman said.
