The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder plays a physical game and has flashed a high ceiling, but the 28-year-old hasn’t reached it over the past three seasons.

Boston Bruins veteran forward Morgan Geekie, 26, who had career highs of 33 goals and 57 points in 77 games last season, was rewarded for his breakout campaign with a six-year, $33 million contract, the franchise announced on Sunday night.
