Union Berlin's week has gone from bad to worse with a 1-0 loss at home to last-placed Holstein Kiel in the Bundesliga.

Holstein Kiel boosted their slim chances of avoiding the drop with a 1-0 win away at fellow strugglers Union Berlin on Sunday.Kiel's Armin Gigovic scored the only goal, finding the net after 43 minutes.

Freiburg were held 0-0 at Augsburg on Sunday as they missed returning into the top four of the Bundesliga and became the only visiting team not to win this weekend. Chances were sparse in a match between defensively strong teams although Augsburg almost stole a stoppage time victory when Steve Mounie hit the left post.
