The NFL released its schedule for the 2025 season before Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers, but the choice for Pittsburgh's Week 1 opponent seemed to account for the likelihood that Rodgers would be joining the AFC North team.

Since then, and after a long wait, Rodgers decided to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will play at least one more year in the NFL and will face the Jets in Week 1. Until then and since Rodgers signed on the dotted line, he finally dawned a Steelers jersey for the first time at 2025 minicamp.
